Supply included: 55% Feeder Cattle (38% Steers, 47% Heifers, 16% Bulls); 44% Slaughter Cattle (96% Cows, 4% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 16%.

Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves weighing 450-550 lbs sold with a higher undertone on a light test, with 550-800 lb steers and 500-750 lbs heifers all trading $5.00-10.00 higher on a very active market. Demand was good on a moderate offering. Offering included a number of very good consignments of top quality calves and yearlings weighing mostly 500-800 lbs with a couple of top consignments of Replacement heifers selling with very good demand. Slaughter cows sold fully steady to firm with the very active market from two week ago along with a very active high dressing slaughter bull market. Supply included: 82% Feeder Cattle (51% Steers, 46% Heifers, 3% Bulls); 18% Slaughter Cattle (16% Steers, 4% Heifers, 67% Cows, 12% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 62%.

Market Notes:
Overall, the market was undoubtedly higher on all classes reaching tops as high as $217/cwt on flyweight steer calves and $180/cwt on flyweight heifer calves. 5 weight steers and heifers saw considerable gains with top 5 wt steers at $217 and top 5 wt heifers at $170.
Buyers are extremely active and hungry for cattle suitable to fill their grazing orders for this Spring.
