Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers under 700 lbs sold with a steady to firm undertone on comparable sales and weights, with 5 weight steers and 450-500 lb heifers trading with a higher undertone on a light test. Three pot loads of 790-940 lb good quality yearling steers sold with good demand. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to spots $2.00 lower on the high dressing cows. Cattle on Feed Report was released Friday afternoon with On Feed coming in at expectations at 98.7; Placements came in under expectations at 92.9; with Marketings at 102.7 slightly above expectations. Supply included: 82% Feeder Cattle (63% Steers, 33% Heifers, 5% Bulls); 18% Slaughter Cattle (20% Steers, 17% Heifers, 51% Cows, 13% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 71%.
