   Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves under 600 lbs sold with a sharply higher undertone with few good comparisons, over 600 lbs on comparable sales of 600-700 lbs and over 800 lbs sold $5.00-10.00 higher. Feeder heifers weighing 500-550 lbs sold $2.00-6.00 higher with 550-750 lbs trading $5.00-10.00 higher, spots $12.00 higher on the 6 weight heifers. Demand was very good with supply moderate. Overall quality was very good on steers and heifers weighing 500-750 lbs and yearling steers over 800 lbs all sold on a very active market. Corn closed 16-19 cents lower on Friday with Feeder Cattle contracts closing with sharp triple-digit gains. Cattle on Feed report was friendly with Cattle on Feed at 100.2. Placements at 93.1 and Marketings at 123.4. Supply included: 87% Feeder Cattle (67% Steers, 33% Heifers, 1% Bulls); 13% Slaughter Cattle (18% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 14% Heifers, 57% Cows, 8% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 71%.
