   Friday's auction was a Special bred cow and pairs sale with one consignment of nice quality black young bred cows 3-5 years of age in the 2nd stage selling with moderate demand, a few pairs on offer also sold with moderate demand. Feeder cattle were lightly tested and sold in small packages and singles. Slaughter cows sold steady to $2.00 higher. Temperatures were hot in the mid to high 90's in the surrounding area with plenty of hay being put up. Supply included: 34 percent Feeder Cattle (54 percent Steers, 29 percent Heifers, 17 percent Bulls); 35 percent Slaughter Cattle (6 percent Steers, 10 percent Dairy Steers, 18 percent Heifers, 60 percent Cows, 6 percent Bulls); 31 percent Replacement Cattle (61 percent Bred Cows, 3 percent Bred Heifers, 33 percent Cow-Calf Pairs, 3 percent Heifer Pairs).  Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 30 percent.

Steers and heifers sold steady to $6/cwt higher. Weigh cows and bulls sold $3/cwt to $4/cwt higher.
