3/10/21 Cattle Sale Market Report

As a result of mixed quality in an offering of 80 percent unweaned and unvaccinated calves, market was slightly lower this week. Demand held strongest on preconditioned lightweight calves. The CME futures market turned green early this week showing some promise, however lower futures market prices on Wednesday as well as fed cattle bids lingering around $114/cwt are creating frustration as many cattleman need compensated for the backlog and extra expenses incurred during this past year.
