Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold $2.00 to $5.00 lower on a light test. The supply of feeders was light and made up of many smaller lots or singles, much different than last week's pre-vac sale which had larger lots with paper work and overall better quality. This week's offering did hold some weaned cattle, some that had a round or two of shots, and even several that seen a knife; but it seemed very few groups manged to put all those parts together into a single package which is required if sellers wish to fill those top dollar orders. A light supply of slaughter cows sold steady to $2.00 lower and slaughter bulls sold steady. Supply included: 87 percent Feeder Cattle (31 percent Steers, 58 percent Heifers, 12 percent Bulls); 9 percent Slaughter Cattle (84 percent Cows, 16 percent Bulls); 4 percent Replacement Cattle (20 percent Stock Cows, 65 percent Bred Cows, 15 percent Cow-Calf Pairs).
