Slaughter cows sold $1.00 higher and bulls sold steady; Demand good and supply moderate to heavy. Supply included: 94 percent Feeder Cattle (55 percent Steers, 43 percent Heifers, 3 percent Bulls); 4 percent Slaughter Cattle (93 percent Cows, 7 percent Bulls); 2 percent Replacement Cattle (78 percent Bred Cows, 22 percent Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 30 percent.

Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves weighing under 550 lbs sold with a lower undertone on a light test, with 550-600 lb steers selling $6.00-8.00 lower, comparable sales of 6 weight steers sold mostly steady, with 700-800 lbs trading with a firm to higher undertone, steers over 800 lbs sold with a lower undertone on few comparisons. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady, with 500- 600 lbs selling steady to $4.00 higher and heifers over 600 lbs sold unevenly steady. Slaughter cows on a good offering sold steady to $3.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good on a moderate to heavy offering. A nice offering of yearling steers and heifers weighing 600-900 lbs with the best demand on the 7 weight steers.
