   Compared to the last special two weeks ago, the best test was on steer calves weighing 400-500 lbs selling $5.00-10.00 higher, 550-600 lbs sold $3.00-5.00 lower and 700-750 lb steers traded steady, the 6 weight steers and yearling steers over 800 lbs were lightly tested with few comparisons. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs sold 3.00-5.00 higher, with 500-550 lbs selling steady, 550-600 lbs sold $2.00-4.00 lower and over 600 lbs were not well tested. Slaughter cows, boning and lean cows sold steady, with breakers selling steady to $3.00 lower on the high dressing cows.  Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. A nice offering of steer and heifer calves going to grass and three pot loads of yearling steers weighing over 900 lbs. Cattle on Feed Report was issued Friday afternoon and came in pretty much as expected with on Feed at 95 percent; Placements at 77 percent; and Marketings at 113 percent.

   Compared to last week, today’s offering had fewer, quality preconditioned cattle. This was reflected in the overall prices 600 lbs Hfrs were $4 higher some weight ranges. There wasn’t enough to get a good test. $2-7 lower
