The annual West Tennessee Grain and Soybean Producer’s Conference will be held at the Dyersburg fairgrounds on Thursday, February 6th. An agenda may be accessed (grain flyer.2020.3). Featured speakers in the main Building 1 are Dr. Aaron Smith (Farm Bill Sign up and Crop Insurance Changes), Brennis Craddock (Tips for Preparing Farm Taxes), and Dr. Wesley Tucker (Coaching, Motivating, and Retaining Good Employees), with Dr. Robert Nielsen as keynote (Filter the Kool-Aid Before You Drink It). Repeating sessions in Building 2 will be Dr. Josh McGrath (Soil Testing for Precision Ag: What We Know and What We Don’t), Dr. Larry Steckel (The 1980’s Called and They Want their Weeds Back), and Drs. Heather Kelly/Scott Stewart (The ROI on Insecticide, Fungicide, and Nematicide Seed Treatments).
There is no registration fee and all are invited to a barbeque lunch at the nearby National Guard Armory building at noon. Door prizes will be handed out at 3 p.m. ∆
