Training In The Artificial Insemination Of Cattle Nov. 5-7 In Mt. Vernon
WEST PLAINS, MO.
Any individual interested in learning how to perform artificial insemination of cattle should contact Howell County MU Extension office to register for the upcoming “Artificial Insemination of Cattle” class.
Elizabeth Picking, livestock specialist with MU Extension and Ted Probert, dairy specialist with MU Extension, will teach “Artificial Insemination for Cattle” on Nov. 5, 6, 7 at the University of Missouri Southwest Research Center near Mount Vernon.
Classroom and hands-on practice of cattle insemination and methodology will be taught as well as synchronization techniques and basic reproductive anatomy.
All insemination equipment and material will be provided during practice.
The cost of the class will be $350 and must be paid no later than Oct. 31. Class size is limited to 12 students. To enroll in the class, or for more information, contact the Howell County MU Extension office by email at howellco@missouri.edu or by telephone at 417-256-2391. ∆
