Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 42 percent.

Compared to the last special two weeks ago, the best test on feeder steers weighed 600-700 lbs on sold $3.00-6.00 higher with 700-800 lbs trading steady to firm, feeder heifers weighing 600-700 lbs sold $5.00- 7.00 higher with all other weights selling with a firm to higher undertone on a light test. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 lower on a light offering. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. CME cattle futures had a good week posting triple-digit gains for the week and giving some optimism for the market that was in desperate need for relief and giving support to the feeder cattle market.
