Friday's auction was Special Bred Cow Sale with very few feeders on offer that were not tested, mostly selling in small packages and singles. Bred cows sold with moderate to good demand mostly 3-6 yrs in the 2nd-3rd stage. Slaughter cows accounted for near 28 percent of the total receipts and traded steady to $2.00 higher, bred cows accounted for near 35 percent of the receipts, slaughter steers and heifers accounted for near 5 percent with feeders accounting for 32 percent.

Compared to last week, 600 lbs steers and heifers sold $4.00 lower, the rest of the offering sold $1.00-7.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold $4.00 higher, bulls sold steady. Supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 10 percent of the run, 90 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 45 percent of the offering, 48 percent heifers with 7 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 39 percent.
