Offering over 600 lbs totaled around 30 percent.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $5.00 to 7.00 lower with instances of $10.00 to $12.00 lower, mostly on unweaned heifers. A few of the top quality 700-750 lb steers traded steady. Slaughter cows $3.00 to $5.00 lower. Slaughter cattle accounted for 21 percent of total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 60 percent steers and bulls and 40 percent heifers; 59 percent of all the feeder cattle weighed over 600 lbs.
