For the conditions the demand was strong today. Overall the conditioned, quality cattle were $2-4 higher, rest of the offering $1-6 lower. Lot of 20 steers 654 lbs average $159 cwt; Lot of 30 steers 728 lbs average $149 cwt; Lot of 14 heifers 614 lbs average $123.50; Lot of 6 heifers 315 lbs average $154 cwt.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $1.00 lower to $3.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $4.00 lower; Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 13 percent of the run, 87 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 29 percent of the offering, 51 percent heifers with 21 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 13 percent.

Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold 4.00 lower. Supply heavy. Cows made up approximately 10 percent of the run, 90 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 57 percent of the offering, 37 percent heifers with 7 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 52 percent.
