Corn – Diplodia Leaf Streak

DR. KIRSTEN WISE

PRINCETON, KY.
Diplodia leaf streak is a corn disease that has become more prevalent in Kentucky in recent years. It is commonly observed in fields in western Kentucky.
This publication describes the symptoms and cause of disease, conditions that favor disease development, and information for disease management. Because it is easily confused with other corn foliar diseases, a brief discussion with accompanying photos indicates ways to differentiate Diplodia leaf streak from “look-alike” diseases.
Diplodia Leaf Streak (PPFS-AG-C-08) is available online.
