Slaughter cows sold $1.00 higher and bulls sold steady. Supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 13 percent of the run, 87 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 43 percent of the offering, 49 percent heifers with 8 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 42 percent.

Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers under 600 lbs were lightly tested with 600-800 lbs selling steady to $5.00 higher. Feeder heifers weighing 500-700 lbs sold with a higher undertone on few comparisons as overall quality and flesh conditions were more attractive than two weeks ago. Slaughter cows sold steady. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. A nice offering of 6 weight steers and heifers and two pot loads of big yearling steers weighing over 1000 lbs all sold with the best demand. Slaughter cows accounted for near 18 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply consisted of 58 percent steers and bulls, 42 percent heifers and 67 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
