Steak And Potatoes Field Day Returns August 7
The 2018 Steak and Potatoes Field Day at the University of Tennessee Plateau AgResearch and Education Center will be held
Tuesday, August 7, at the center's main unit on U.S. Highway 70N in Crossville, Tennessee. The event starts with registration at 8 a.m. CDT.

CROSSVILLE, TENN.
Everyone interested in Plateau-based agricultural enterprises is invited to attend the annual Steak and Potatoes Field Day sponsored by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. Scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, the event will showcase the research and outreach activities at the UT Plateau AgResearch and Education Center – activities intended to benefit the region’s agricultural and forestry industries.
Educational sessions at the event will be divided into three main subject areas: beef production, fruit and vegetable production and forestry and landscape management for landowners. The event is free to attend.
The event will begin with registration and a trade show at 8 a.m. CDT at the center’s main unit just west of Crossville. Tours and seminars begin at 8:30 and conclude at 11:30. A sponsored lunch will be provided following the program.
Pesticide recertification points will be awarded to participants in need of continuing education to maintain their certification.
