Cows made up approximately 11 percent of the run, 89 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 45 percent of the offering, 41 percent heifers with 14 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 27 percent.

Compared to last week, a very light test of steer and heifer calves weighing 400-550 lbs sold mostly steady on comparable weights with all other classes of feeders not tested. Demand was moderate on a light supply. Slaughter cows sold steady to $2.00 lower. Bulk of Friday’s receipts was slaughter cows and slaughter steers and heifers. Slaughter cows accounted for near 35 percent of the total receipts with slaughter steers and heifers accounting for near 18 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply consisted of 39 percent steers, 14 percent bulls and 47 percent heifers.
