Slaughter cows and bulls sold $2.00 higher; Demand uneven and supply heavy. Cows made up approximately 7 percent of the run, 93 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 31 percent of the offering, 47 percent heifers with 23 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 22 percent.

Compared to the last special two weeks ago which was mostly yearlingcattle weighing over 600 lbs, steers and heifer calves under 600 lbs sold with a firm to higher undertone, steers weighing 600-750 lbs sold $3.00-5.00 higher with yearling steers weighing 750-850 lbs on comparable sales trading mostly $3.00-5.00 lower over 850 lbs were not well tested. Feeder heifers weighing 600-750 lbs sold steady to firm. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm. Demand was good with supply heavy on a nice offering of good quality feeder cattle with demand best on 450-725 lbs feeder steers going to grass. Slaughter cows accounted for near 8 percent of the total receipts. Feeder cattle consisted of 65 percent steers and bulls, 35 percent heifers and 54 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
