Compared to last week's special, this week's light feeder receipts and overall quality were not well tested, especially on calves and most yearlings; with the only real comparison on 650-725 lb heifers selling mostly $4.00-6.00 lower. Sales were mostly singles and small packages with demand moderate to good and supply light to moderate. Slaughter cows on a nice offering sold mostly $2.00-3.00 higher. Slaughter cows accounted for near 30 percent of the total receipts and slaughter steers and heifers 10 percent. Feeder supply consisted of 35 percent steers and bulls, 65 percent heifers and 56 percent weighing over 600 lbs.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $2.00 lower to $5.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold $1.00 higher and bulls sold $3.00 higher; Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 11 percent of the run, 89 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 30 percent of the offering, 47 percent heifers with 22 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 17 percent.

Cows made up approximately 9 percent of the run, 91 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 47 percent of the offering, 42 percent heifers with 12 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 21 percent.
