Compared to last week's heavy receipts and sharply higher market, a very light test of feeders this week sold with no real comparison on any one weight range. A few comparable sales traded with a weak undertone but quality and quantity were scarce. Demand was moderate with supply light. Slaughter cows on a nice offering sold fully steady to firm with spots $2.00 higher. Slaughter cows accounted for 38 percent of the total receipts with slaughter steers and heifers near 10 percent. Feeder supply consisted of 52 percent steers and bulls, 48 percent heifers and 43 percent weighing over 600 lbs.

Cows made up approximately 8 percent of the run, 92 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 29 percent of the offering, 49 percent heifers with 23 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 22 percent.
