No recent good comparison on feeder calves, a light test of 500-600 lb steers sold with a firm to higher undertone, all other weights of steers and heifers traded mostly steady with true yearlings scarce. Best demand was on the 500 weight steers with all other weights selling with moderate demand. Supply was light to moderate. Slaughter cows sold $2.00-4.00 higher and accounted for 15 percent of the total receipts, with slaughter steers and heifers accounting for near 10 percent. Feeder supply consisted of 65 percent steers and bulls, 35 percent heifers and 65 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
