Steers made up approximately 45 percent of the offering, 37 percent heifers with 19 feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 20 percent.

Compared to last week, a light test of steer and heifer calves weighing under 650 lbs sold mostly steady on comparable sales. With mostly unweaned/short weaned calves in the offering, selling in small groups and packages. Demand was moderate with supply light to moderate. Slaughter cows traded steady on a nice offering. Fed cattle prices continue to climb higher trading mostly $6.00-9.00 higher than last week’s sharp gains with trade mostly $125.00. Slaughter cows accounted for near 22 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply included 58 percent steers and bulls, 42 percent heifers and near 40 percent weighing over lbs.
