Regular monthly cow special with too few feeder cattle for a test. Several bred cows mostly in the third period along with a few pairs made up most of the afternoon offering. Slaughter cows traded $1.00-2.00 lower. Cash cattle prices this week have been under pressure as Boxed Beef prices and cattle futures have moved sharply lower. Cows accounted for 70 percent of the receipts with 30 percent feeders. In the feeder supply steers and bulls accounted for 55 percent, 45 percent heifers, and near 55 percent weighed over 600 lbs.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $6.00 lower to $6.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold $2.00 lower and bulls sold $6.00 lower; Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 20 percent of the run, 80 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 43 percent of the offering, 48 percent heifers with 10 feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.

Cows made up approximately 15 percent of the run, 85 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 29 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 27 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 26 percent.
