Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $1.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold and bulls sold $1.00 higher. Supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 23 percent of the run, 77 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 41 percent of the offering, 49 percent heifers with 10 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 40 percent.

Cows made up approximately 11 percent of the run, 89 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 34 percent of the offering, 50 percent heifers with 16 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 17 percent.

Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers under 750 lbs and heifers under 700 lbs traded mostly $5.00-10.00 lower on comparable sales. Demand was moderate on a moderate supply. Slaughter cows accounted for near 17 percent of the total receipts. Slaughter cows sold steady to $2.00 higher. Cattle on Feed report was released Friday afternoon with numbers slightly above expectations with on feed for June 1 at 103 percent; Placements came in at 112 percent and Marketings at 109 percent. Feeder supply consisted of 41 percent steers, 59 percent heifers and 61 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
