Cows made up approximately 11 percent of the run, 89 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 61 percent of the offering, 33 percent heifers with 6 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 45 percent.

No sale last week due to the Holiday, however compared to two weeks ago steers and heifers sold $1.00-9.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold $4.00 higher and bulls sold $2.00 higher. Demand good and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 16 percent of the run, 84 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 34 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 24 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 20 percent.

Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers under 700 lbs were very lightly tested on comparable sales, with the best test on 700-750 lb steers selling mostly $5.00 higher and weights over 750 lbs not well tested. The best test on feeder heifers were weighing 500-650 lbs trading $5.00-10.00 higher with all other weights lightly tested. Slaughter cows sold $2.00-4.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. Overall quantity and quality of feeder calves under 650 lbs were not as attractive as two weeks ago. Slaughter cows accounted for near 12 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply consisted of 52 percent steers and bulls, 48 percent heifers and 74 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
