Compared to last week, 300-500 lbs steers and 300 lbs heifers sold $3.00-4.00 higher, the rest of the offering sold steady to $4.00 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $2.00 higher; Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 24 percent of the run, 76 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 38 percent of the offering, 40 percent heifers with 20 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 19 percent.

Compared to last week, a very light test of feeder cattle, steers and heifer calves under 600 lbs traded with a steady undertone on comparable sales. Demand was moderate on light supply. Slaughter cows accounted for near 40 percent of the total receipts and traded steady to firm. Feeder supply consisted of 65 percent steers and bulls, 35 percent heifers and near 21 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
