Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to $8.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold $1.00 higher and bulls sold $5.00 higher; Demand firm to good and supply light. Cows made up approximately 10 percent of the run, 90 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 40 percent of the offering, 41 percent heifers with 18 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 23 percent.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were very lightly tested on light receipts with steer calves and heifers over 600 lbs trading with a lower undertone and a light test of heifer calves under 600 lbs sold near steady on a few comparable sales. Slaughter cows sold fully steady to firm on a nice offering. Bulk of the sales was small bunches, packages and singles all selling with moderate demand on a light supply. Slaughter cows accounted for near 45 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply consisted of 44 percent steers and bulls, 56 percent heifers and near 35 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
