Compared to last week, 600-700 lbs steers and 700 lbs heifers sold $4.00-6.00 higher, the rest of the offering sold steady to $6.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold $4.00 higher and few bulls sold steady. Supply light. Cows made up approximately 10 percent of the run, 90 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 40 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 17 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 20 percent.

Slaughter cows sold $2.00 higher and bulls sold steady. Supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 88 percent feeders. Friday's auction was a Special Bred Cow and Bull sale with a very light offering of feeder cattle. The best comparison was on heifer calves selling with a steady to firm undertone on a few comparable sales with steers very lightly tested. Slaughter, bred cows and breeding bulls accounted for 60 percent of the total receipts. Slaughter cows and bred cows all sold with good demand with slaughter cows firm to $2.00 higher. Feeder supply was 49 percent steers and bulls, 51 percent heifers and 46 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
