Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven from $2.00 lower to $9.00 higher with the most gains in the light offering. Slaughter cows sold $2.00 higher and bulls sold steady. Supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 88 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 50 percent of the offering, 44 percent heifers with 6 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 32 percent.

Compared to the previous special two weeks ago, 400-500 lb steers calves traded steady, 500-750 lb steers sold $4.00-6.00 higher, with yearling steers over 750 lbs trading with a steady to firm undertone. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady to $3.00 higher, with 500-650 lb heifers selling mostly $5.00-8.00 higher and 650-700 lbs trading firm to $3.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold $3.00-5.00 higher. Demand was good with supply moderate, over all feeder quality was attractive mostly on feeders weighing 500-750 lbs. Fed cattle market continues to show resilience trading steady to higher this week giving support to the feeder market. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for near 12 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply consisted of 62 percent steers, 38 percent heifers and near 51 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
