Midwest Cover Crops Council Website Gets Upgrade
COLUMBIA, MO.
The Midwest Cover Crop Council’s redesigned website will help Missouri producers find resources, says Charles Ellis, University of Missouri Extension natural resources engineer.
The website, at mccc.msu.edu, provides links, media and other resources to help producers select, plant and maintain cover crops. Popular features such as the interactive cover crop selection tools remain on the user-friendly site, says Ellis, who serves on the cover crop council’s board of directors.
The mobile-friendly redesign includes links to extension publications from the MU, Purdue University and other institutions, he says.
MCCC’s membership includes experts from universities including extension services, businesses and government from 12 states, including Missouri, and one Canadian province. The group’s goal is to promote ecological and economic sustainability by helping farmers adopt the use of cover crops.
The Walton Family Foundation, a philanthropic organization that funds education and conservation efforts in the South and Midwest, funds the new website design. ∆
