A very light run of feeder cattle were lightly tested with the best test on 600-700 lb heifers sold $5 higher with all other weights trading with a higher undertone on light receipts. Slaughter cows accounted for 20 percent of the total receipts and sold firm to spots $2 higher on a light test. Feeder supply included 42 percent steers and bulls, 58 percent heifers and 40 percent over 600 lbs.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $5 lower to $1 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold $2 lower. Supply light. Cows made up approximately 13 percent of the run, 87 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 45 percent of the offering, 40 percent heifers with 16 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.
