Cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 82 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 28 percent of the offering, 48 percent heifers with 24 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.

   Compared to the last auction two weeks ago, a light test of 500-650 lbs steers traded steady with weights over 650 lbs selling with a lower undertone, heifers were lightly tested. Slaughter cows sold mostly $2-5 lower. Receipts this week were curtailed due to heat and very humid conditions this week along with cattle futures trading mostly lower and lower fed cattle trade. Cattle on Feed Report was released Friday afternoon with on feed coming at 101.2 percent; Placements at 103 percent which was 3 percent lower than most expectations at 106.1 percent and Marketings at 109.4 percent with average guess at 109.7 percent. Slaughter cows accounted for near 15 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply included 72 percent steers, 28 percent heifers and near 75 percent over 600 lbs.
