Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $7 lower to $4 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady; Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 15 percent of the run, 85 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 44 percent of the offering, 44 percent heifers with 12 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.

Steers made up approximately 31 percent of the offering, 48 percent heifers with 21 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 18 percent.

Friday’s sale was a Special Cow/calf and Bred Cow sale with a light supply of feeders in the offering. Several consignments of very nice quality heifer pairs in the offering sold with very good demand. Feeder cattle were very lightly tested with offerings made up of mostly small packages of calves selling in small lots and singles weighing from 400-600 lbs mostly unweaned or short weaned. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm. Replacement and slaughter cows accounted for near 63 percent of the total receipts. In the feeder supply 51 percent were steers and bulls, 41 percent heifers and near 30 percent weighed over 600 lbs.
