   Compared to last week, steers and heifers traded $5 to $10 lower, spots $15 lower on 500 lb heifers. Slaughter cows steady to $2 higher. Other than one short load of yearling heifers, feeder cattle were offered in very small groups or single head lots, mostly 400-600 lb calves. Lots of unweaned bawlers in the mix with far lesser quality than last weeks special. Supply and demand moderate. Cows and bulls accounted for 26 percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 47 percent steers and bulls and 53 percent heifers; 27 percent of the feeder cattle weighed over 600 lbs.

   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to $8 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $2 higher. Demand lower and supply light. Slaughter cows made up approximately 11 percent of the run, 89 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 34 percent of the offering, 46 percent heifers with 19 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 21 percent.

Cows made up approximately 13 percent of the run, 87 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 42 percent of the offering, 48 percent heifers with 10 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 16 percent.
