Too few comparisons from last week, compared to two weeks ago, steers and heifers firm to $5 higher, instances $10 to 15 higher on 600-700 lbs feeders. Demand good. Supply heavy on a feeder special, mostly 550-800 lbs offerings, 55 percent steers and bulls, 32 percent heifers, 9 percent cows, 1 percent slaughter steers and heifers, and 63 percent feeders over 600 lbs. There were several good quality drafts on Friday for the feeder special. Slaughter cows steady to firm, compared to last week.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $5 higher to $3 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Demand uneven and supply light. Slaughter cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 88 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 41 percent of the offering, 42 percent heifers with 16 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 29 percent.

Compared to last week, 400-500 lbs heifers sold $6-9 higher, the rest of the offering sold $1-10 lower with lower quality in the offering. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 9 percent of the run, 91 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 52 percent of the offering, 40 percent heifers with 8 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 33 percent.
