Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to $10 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold $2 higher. Demand good and supply light. Cows made up approximately 10 percent of the run, 90 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 51 percent of the offering, 46 percent heifers with 4 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 51 percent.

Compared to last week, Friday’s sale was a Bred Cow Special, with a light offering of feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves under 600 lbs traded steady to firm with instances $3-5 higher on calves going to grass selling with good weighing conditions; best advance was on 4 weight steers and heifers. Slaughter cows traded fully steady to firm, spots $2 higher on the high dressing cows. Supply included 48 percent cows. Feeder supply included 60 percent steers, 40 percent heifers and 20 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
