Supply light, mostly 400-700 lbs calves, near 62 percent steers and bulls, 18 percent heifers, 20 percent cows and 18 percent feeders over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows $5-10 lower with last week sale.

Well folks, we knew the day was coming-market is in a downward trend. Supply was light today, good quality cattle took a mild decline, but lesser quality cattle were dollars cheaper overall $5-20 or more lower.

Compared to last week steers and heifers sold uneven, from $3 higher to $3 lower. Slaughter cows sold $4 lower, bulls not well tested; Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 87 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 40 percent of the offering, 36 percent heifers with 25 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 25 percent.

Cows made up approximately 11 percent of the run, 89 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 55 percent of the offering, 29 percent heifers with 14 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 42 percent.
