Slaughter cows compared to last week $4-5 lower.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $10-18 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $4 lower; Demand and supply light. Cows made up approximately 29 percent of the run, 71 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 42 percent of the offering, 39 percent heifers with 20 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 23 percent.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $12-25 lower with lower quality in the offering and some fallout from the stock market. Slaughter cows sold $2 lower, bulls not well tested; Demand very light and supply light. Cows made up approximately 10 percent of the run, 90 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 41 percent of the offering, 36 percent heifers with 23 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 22 percent.
