Due to the holidays there was no sale last week, however compared to two weeks ago, 600 lbs steers and 500-600 lbs heifers sold $3-8 higher, 300-400 lbs heifers sold $20-30 lower, the rest of the offering sold $5-10 lower. Slaughter cows sold $1 higher, bulls sold steady; Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 18 percent of the run, 82 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 37 percent of the offering, 49 percent heifers with 14 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 16 percent.

No sale last week so no comparison – very light run. Hot, Hot, HOT! Way too hot to sell cattle. Quality and condition was reflected in a lower market today.

Compared to last week, not enough feeders any one weight for adequate price test, undertone weak to lower. Demand moderate. Supply light on a cow special, near 40 percent cows, mostly bred cows, pairs and weigh cows around 30 percent steers and bulls, 30 percent heifers and 10 percent feeders over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows mostly steady.

Compared to last week, 500-600 lbs heifers sold $2-12 higher, the rest of the offering sold $2-13 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady; Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 17 percent of the run, 83 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 43 percent of the offering, 46 percent heifers with 12 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 27 percent.
