Compared to last week, 500 lbs steers and 600 lbs heifers sold $5 higher, 300 lbs steers and heifers sold $22 lower, the rest of the offering sold $2-4 lower. Slaughter cows sold $1 lower and bulls sold $5 higher. Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 18 percent of the run, 82 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 52 percent of the offering, 41 percent heifers with 8 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 28 percent.

Into the season of lighter runs of cattle, which makes doing a market report difficult. No big groups to do a good test but the overall average appeared to be mostly steady.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven from $7 higher to $8 lower. Slaughter cows sold $2 lower and bulls sold steady. Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 19 percent of the run, 81 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 34 percent of the offering, 40 percent heifers with 25 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 20 percent.
