Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $9 higher to $14 lower. Slaughter cows sold $2 higher and bulls sold $1 higher. Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 10 percent of the run, 90 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 35 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 21 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 14 percent.

Compared to last week, 400-500 lbs steers and heifers sold steady to $12 lower, the rest of the offering sold steady to $14 higher, 30 percent of the lighter offering showing more flesh than in past sales. Slaughter cows sold steady, bulls sold $3 higher. Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 53 percent of the offering, 38 percent heifers with 6 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.

Compared to last week, not enough feeders any one weight for adequate price test, undertone lower. Demand light to moderate on feeders and moderate to good on cows. Supply moderate on a cow special, mostly cow/calf pairs, bred and weight cows, near 49 percent cows, 21 percent steers and bulls, 28 percent heifers, 2 percent slaughter steers and heifers and 3 percent feeders over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows steady to firm.
