   Compared to last week, steers and heifers over 600 lbs sold $2-7 higher, the rest of the heifer offering sold $6-11 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $2 higher. Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 15 percent of the run, 85 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 45 percent of the offering, 34 percent heifers with 31 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 34 percent.

Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 14 percent of the run, 86 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 55 percent of the offering, 39 percent heifers with 6 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 41 percent.

   What to call the market this week? That’s a good question. As we say a light run is very hard to do a good test. Prices appear very uneven. Good quality steers & heifers appeared steady to $10 higher with lesser quality slightly lower.

Slaughter cows firm to $5 higher.
