Restored Tractor Wins Awards
I found this 1967 Ford 4000 Row Crop 3 cylinder diesel in 2009. I bought this tractor from a farmer who lived just 10 miles from my home in Jefferson County, Missouri. I met the original owner at Buchheit’s Farm Supply in Herculaneum, Missouri. He informed me that the only work he did on the tractor was to restore the engine. His wife was afraid of the tricycle for their farming and she wanted him to sell the tractor. I spent two years restoring the tractor. My friend, Chris Gegg gave it the excellent paint job.
The Ford won First Place and the Tractor of the Year Award for Orscheln Farm Supply. A picture of the tractor was on the Orscheln paint cans in 2013 and it appeared as the Tractor for February calendar 2013. I have won 4 more People’s Choice Awards at several tractor shows.
My tractor is very unique for this area of the country. People enjoy seeing it when I take it to the tractor shows and tractor rides. ∆
