Compared to last week, a light test of feeder steer and heifer calves weighing 400-650 lbs sold steady to firm on comparable sales, with 700-750 lb steers trading $8-10 higher on very good demand. Supply was light with near 40 percent slaughter and bred cows in the offering. Slaughter cows traded steady to firm, best on high dressing cows. Feeder supply included 63 percent steers and 37 percent heifers with 34 percent of the feeders weighing over 600 lbs.

Compared to last week, a light supply of 300 lbs heifers sold $5 higher, the rest of the offering sold steady to $8 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 16 percent of the run 84 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 57 percent of the offering, 31 percent heifers with 11 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 34 percent.
