Supply light, mostly feeders over 500 lbs, near 42 percent steers and bulls, 42 percent heifers, 16 percent cows and 36 percent feeders over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows $3-5 higher.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold $3-12 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady to $1 higher and bulls sold $9 higher. Demand good and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 15 percent of the run, 85 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 57 percent of the offering, 34 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 43 percent.

No sale last week due to the Holidays. Compared to two weeks ago steers and heifers under 600 lbs sold uneven from $8 higher to $5 lower with the offering over 600 lbs selling $12 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $7-8 higher. Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 12 percent of the run, 88 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 30 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 20 percent.
