Compared to last week, not enough feeders for adequate price test, except for two pot-loads of 800-850 lbs heifers $5-10 higher. Demand good. Supply light on a cow special, near 17 percent steers and bulls, 48 percent heifers, 30 percent cows, 5 percent slaughter steers and heifers and 27 percent mostly heifers over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows firm to $5 higher.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers over 600 lbs sold $3-5 higher, 300 lbs offering sold $7 higher, the rest of the offering sold $4-6 lower. Slaughter cows sold $4 higher and bulls sold $1 lower. Demand uneven and supply light. Cows made up approximately 13 percent of the run, 87 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 46 percent of the offering, 46 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 34 percent.

Let the hay and wheat harvesting begin! After fighting rain for several weeks the sun is shining as is evidenced by the light run of cattle. It appears market is strong, where there were enough to test, trends were higher. Slaughter bulls and cows sold steady.

Compared to last week, the steer and heifers sold steady to $4 higher on a very test. Cattlemen finally got a break in the weather and are making hay. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Demand good and supply very light. Cows made up approximately 18 percent of the run, 82 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 29 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 26 percent feeder bulls. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 24 percent.
