Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold uneven, from $1 higher to $5 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to $1 lower. Demand uneven and supply moderate. Cows made up approximately 9 percent of the run, 91 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 55 percent of the offering, 36 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 49 percent.

Extremely cold temperatures for the 2nd Tuesday in a row limited the number of cattle brought to market again today. Very hard to give a market trend since there were not enough of some weights to give a good test. Where there were numbers it appears the market was steady with some $1-8 higher. Slaughter bulls and cows sold higher.
