Tennessee Meetings Set
SOMERVILLE, TENN.
Fayette County Extension Marketing meeting, Feb 4, 2014 starting at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast at the EMA Training room-up the street from The Extension Office-18 Hiawatha St. Somerville, TN 38068. At this meeting, Aaron Smith with The University of Tennessee will speak on Market Outlook and Cargill on their programs.
Feb. 10 - March 17 every Monday and Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Master Beef Meeting, Bolivar, TN -208 Hope Street, Bolivar, TN at The University of Memphis Bolivar Campus (If you are coming East from Somerville turn right at the first light onto Hwy 18 south, go one mile and turn left onto Hope street by Bolivar electric, then go 4 tenths of a mile until it dead ends-building will be on the right). The topics for the nightly sessions will include: Managing and Planning for Success, Marketing Beef Cattle, Developing Genetics to meet the Needs of the Industry, Carcass Merit, Food Safety, Feeding the Beef Herd, Forage Production, Reproduction in Beef Cattle, Herd Health, Cattle Handling and Behavior, Environmental Concerns, Management of the Beef Herd.
