Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers weighing 500-850 lbs and heifers weighing 500-700 lbs sold mostly 5.00-10.00 lower, with feeder heifers over 700 lbs selling with a lower undertone. Demand was moderate to good on a moderate offering. Overall quality did not run as deep as the last special with lower fed cattle trade over the last couple of weeks and lower cattle futures have feeder cattle prices coming down from their highs. Stick out sales included two pot loads of big yearling heifers one pot load at 1098 lbs trading at 218.25 and a pot load weighing 1206 lbs at 210.60. Slaughter steers and heifers sold on and active market steady to 3.00 higher with slaughter cows selling 3.00-6.00 higher. Supply included: 91% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 47% Heifers, 1% Bulls); 9% Slaughter Cattle (24% Steers, 19% Heifers, 49% Cows, 8% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 72%.
